THIS IS FOR ENGLISH :D

During the learning festival on 15JAN, i got to go baking (: We went to keppel road, and went to "BITC" to learn how to make egg tarts and fruits tarts. The training centre was located at the 11th floor, so some of us had to climb all the way up. ): While some, had the privilege to take the lift. It's kind of unfair, if you ask me. life is unfair, so i guess we'll have to take it easy.

The people were divided into 2 groups, each taught by different teachers. I got to Mr Goh's group. (: Then we had to get into groups of 5, so i group -ed with valery, felicia tan, xue hui and xin lei. We had to add the sugar, butter and flour together first, then let it mix for about 7 minutes. After letting it mix, we had to put some vanilla essence, and let it mix for another 1 minute. Then we had to make sure that each dough is 20g each, with the help of the kitchen weighing scale. Then, we had to put each of the dough into cupcake cups, then form their shape. After finished weighing, i went to help out with the crusting.

For the egg tart, Mr Goh mixed eggs and milk into a big mixing bowl, and distributed some to each of the groups equally. Each person was entitled to 6 egg tarts each. We poured the mixture into the crust, and let it bake. Then we proceeded with our fruit tarts.

We had to spread some chocolate on the crust first, then put cream. Next we had to put cherry, pineapples and peach on it. Each person was entitled to 6 fruit tarts too. After putting the fruits, i pinched a cherry and it tasted horrible. ): so sweet, it's scary. Then we had to spread some apricot jam on the fruit tart to make it look nice and last longer without spoiling. The egg tarts were out, and it looked delicious. Too tempting for her, felicia went to take a bite, and we were like, "felicia, you better keep that tart for yourself hoh"

At about 12p.m, we packed our tarts into cardboard boxes, and proceeded downstairs. When i reached downstairs, the cream from the fruit tart were spread all around the box but it still tasted nice. (:

Although i was tired from the standing, overall, i found the learning journeys very enjoyable, and hope that there will be more of these activities next year. (:
